Data control: – In order for the data control to deliver for goods, two properties need to be set. These properties can be set at run time or at design time. The properties are –

  1. Database name: – This property specifies the name of the database that must be opened.
  2. Record source: – This property specifies the name of the table or the tables of the database from which the data has to be executed.

When we run the program after setting these properties, visual basic connect to the database specified and return a set of records from the tables in the form of a record set.

After we set data control property, we must set data source property and data field properties for other control. Such as for text boxes, labels and so on.
